Separators

LONG Industries Inc. offers a wide range of separators that fit many oil & gas applications. We offer both code and non-code equipment. Base units include a commercial blast and exterior DTM paint. External paint options and interior coating are available upon request. LONG Industries Inc. manufactures two basic shapes of Seperators - Vertical and Horizontal.

VERTICAL SEPARATORS

Vertical Separators have the characteristic of handling large slugs of liquid where they are commonly used in low to intermediate gas-oil ratio wellstream applications. This makes them well suited for processing plants where as an inlet separator can smooth and slow surging liquids. This makes them ideal for handling the separation of sands and other sediments.

HORIZONTAL SEPARATORS

Horizontal Separators, in comparison, are smaller and more cost effective for the given gas capacity requirements. They are well suited for wellstreams having high gas-oil rations, contrast flow and small liquid surge applications. Due to the horizontal forces of the gas stream and downward forces of gravity, higher gas velocities can be permitted in Horizontal Separators. The result is that suspended solids can obtain the same degree of separation as in Vertical Separators.
